Capture & destroy
Downing a walker isn't the same as deleting it — wreck the reactor for the black box, or clear the captain's station to deny respawns.
Destroy vs disable
Disabling compartments knocks systems offline but the crew can repair and respawn at the captain's quarters. To permanently remove a Trampler from the match, destroy the reactor (the smoking exhaust weak point) or eliminate the captain tile after boarding.
Black box loot
A destroyed reactor drops a black box — high-value PvP loot that sits right under the wrecked reactor. The black box only drops from a destroyed reactor; boarding to capture a rig intact wins its cargo and compartments instead.
Boarding checklist
- Strip exterior weapons first so the crew can't shoot back from inside.
- Shut down their reactor before applying repair kits on captured tiles.
- Deny respawn by holding the captain's quarters or finishing the reactor.
Defending your own rig
Armor spots, crew quarters spread across decks and a compact reactor footprint make boarding harder. See the build rules for the compartment caps that shape a survivable layout.
